Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) Report

According to the Bank of Thailand (BOT) regulations, Sor. Nor. Sor. 2/ 2561, the disclosure requirements of liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) for commercial banks, TMB publishes its annual and semiannual LCR Disclosures on TMB website. The purpose of LCR disclosure is to promote transparency of liquidity risk exposure and market discipline which complements internal control of commercial banks and supervision by the Bank of Thailand, aligned with international standards.

LCR requirement standards, according to Sor. Nor. Sor. 9/ 2558, aims to ensure that the commercial banks have adequate liquidity to support their liquidity needs under short-term severe liquidity stress scenarios by requiring commercial banks to maintain unencumbered high-quality liquid assets (HQLA) that can immediately be converted into cash without significant loss in value to cover estimated net cash outflows over the next 30 days under severe liquidity stress scenarios.
